Mary Anne Young

Ms. Young is an Urban Planner with experience in low income housing development and policy. Ms. Young received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Marquette University and a Masters of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago. As a staff member of the Pilsen Resurrection Development Corporation from 1990 to 1991 Ms. Young developed and implemented strategies to address the housing needs of the low and moderate income residents of Pilsen, a Latino community on Chicago’s southwest side. As a graduate student Ms. Young co authored a MacArthur Foundation study of management alternatives for public housing. Ms. Young joined CCDC in 1991 and has assumed responsibilities for preservation project planning with specialized emphasis on LIHPRHA.
